Our weekly groups offer coffee, creativity, and company online, in cafes and within community support services around Plymouth, Devon. They help to combat social isolation and offer peer support for anxiety and depression. They are also really good fun!

Our online Zoom sessions are temporarily suspended. However, there are recordings of previous sessions on Facebook.

Please join our mailing list for up-to-date news and free mindful art resources.

What Happens at Mindful Art Club?

We start with a “check-in” where everyone gets a chance to say how they are feeling, but there is no obligation to talk if you don’t want to. Then we do five minutes of guided mindfulness. Then we do five minutes of mindful drawing, (which is drawing with our eyes closed!) Then we do a simple art project that anyone can do, and have a chat. At most groups there is an opportunity to get a tea or coffee. Art projects might include making a greeting card, drawing a mandala, mindful doodling (zentangles), or making a collage. Artistic talent is not necessary – it’s about having fun. Each group lasts for an hour and a half.

There is no waiting list; but there is a different booking process for different groups in different locations. There are men at most groups, although there tends to be more women. The Sunflower Centre is just for women.

We hope you can come to a group soon.

Please send any enquiries through our contact page . (Nb: We may not be able to respond immediately if we are actually facilitating our groups.)
